Pure PTFE
Considered for applications requiring high chemical resistance and low friction, generally under lower mechanical loads.
MATERIALS
PTFE selected for the operating conditions.
Pure or filled PTFE options are selected by evaluating pressure, temperature, motion, counter surface and environmental conditions together.
Carbon-Filled PTFE
Used where wear behaviour and dimensional stability need to be improved in dry or fluid environments.
Bronze-Filled PTFE
Selected according to requirements for deformation resistance under load, wear resistance and thermal conductivity; the chemical nature of the fluid is also evaluated.
Glass-Filled PTFE
Considered where improved resistance to wear and deformation under load is required while retaining chemical resistance compared with pure PTFE.
Material selection is made by evaluating the technical requirements of the part and its operating environment.
