Filled PTFE Piston Rings and Seals
LIFELON® PTFE piston rings and seals are manufactured to technical dimensions for moving systems that require low friction, wear resistance and dimensional stability under load.
The choice of pure, carbon-filled, bronze-filled or glass-filled PTFE is made by evaluating pressure, speed, temperature, counter surface and fluid conditions together. Material composition and ring geometry are determined according to the operating characteristics of the application.
Material options
- Pure PTFE — for lower-load conditions
- Carbon-filled PTFE — improved wear behaviour
- Bronze-filled PTFE — dimensional stability under load
- Glass-filled PTFE — resistance to wear and deformation
